The Team
Bronson & Jacobs supply ingredients that assist with the stimulation and motivation of our senses. We understand the risks associated with products for human consumption and on body application and the requirement for proven systems and processes to ensure they comply with the highest quality standards. This also means we value the importance of investing heavily in our people, logistical infrastructure and the ongoing development of our network for suppliers and customers.
Working as part of the Orica Chemnet Group we are able to meet these requirements by way of an efficient, globally competitive, large-scale supply chain network.
Bronson & Jacobs formulates and supplies raw materials to meet the exacting requirements of customers, large and small across a wide range of industries, including: food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, flavours, personal care, nutritional and complimentary health, fragrances, essential oils and aromatic chemicals.
Bronson & Jacobs Head Office
Orica acquired the Villawood site through it's 2004 acquisition of FERNZ. The site was purpose built in 1997 for a distribution company and features an impressive administrative office and a large warehouse.
Bronson and Jacobs, acquired by Orica in 2004, moved its head office from it traditional Homebush site to Villawood in 2006.
The Villawood site now houses all of Bronson & Jacobs NSW personnel, numbering approximately 120, including Operations, Sales, Product Management, Finance, HR, QA and Supply Chain under one roof.
Warehousing Facilities
Bronson and Jacobs main distribution facility is at the same site as the head office in Villawood, which lies in the western suburbs of Sydney.
The warehouse was purpose built in 1997 and has a capacity of over 10,000 pallets of goods. It is licensed to carry Class 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 and 9 Dangerous Goods and has ISO 9001 and HACCP certification. The warehouse also has both hot and cold storage capabilities for small volumes of product.
A dedicated dock allows the loading and unloading of shipping containers.
The warehouse is operated by approximately 15 dedicated staff who are well trained and intimately aware of our customers stringent requirements.
There is a strong safety culture that comes from being a part of Orica, Bronson and Jacobs' parent company. Our vision is "no injuries to anyone ever".
Repackaging Facilities
Housed within the Villawood warehouse is Bronson and Jacobs' repackaging facility or repack room.
This is a TGA (Therapeutic Goods Association) licensed clean room where products destined for pharmaceutical and other sensitive applications can be broken down into pack sizes specified by our customers. This value adding activity means that our customers can purchase exactly the amount of product desired.
Other customers utilise Bronson and Jacobs repack room to avoid OH&S manual handling issues or simply streamline their production processes.
The room was commissioned in May 2007 after Bronson & Jacobs moved from it Homebush site. The opportunity was taken to make several major improvements to the facilities and we are delighted with the results.
The repack room is operated by 4 experienced staff who are long term employees and are well trained in chemical handling and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
